Kindred Café with Dr. David Putrino

THIS EVENT HAS ENDED. However, you can view a recording here.

January’s Kindred Cafe features Dr. David Putrino, physical therapist and PhD. He’s currently the Director of Rehabilitation Innovation for the Mount Sinai Health System and an Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

He works to develop innovative technology solutions for individuals in need of better healthcare accessibility.

On January 17, Dr. Putrino will join us for a special café. He’ll provide an overview of some of the new and ongoing research efforts to uncover the underlying causes of long COVID, potential therapeutic targets, and new information surrounding emerging interventions for symptoms of long COVID.

From his Kindred Spotlight article:

What drew you to long COVID research?

For me, it was the fact that no one else was addressing it. I had hundreds of patients reaching out to Mount Sinai for help, and I was seeing clinicians and researchers all around wanting to "other" long COVID as "somebody else's problem.”

I saw the critical need for rapid long COVID research and was determined not to let our patients down.
